New Delhi: Elon Musk has given a big statement regarding H-1B visa in America. He said the system used to bring skilled foreign workers to the US is completely broken and needs major reform. Musk stressed that he will do everything possible to save the H-1B visa program.

Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s stance

Elon Musk and Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy recently engaged in a debate with supporters of US presidential candidate Donald Trump on the controversial issue of immigration. Elon Musk, who himself came to the US from South Africa on an H-1B visa, wrote on the social media platform X that it is extremely important to reform the H-1B program.

Suggestions for improving the program

Responding to a user’s question, Trump said that America should become attractive to the world’s top talents. On this, Musk suggested that this could be fixed by increasing the minimum wage under H-1B visa and adding the annual cost. This will make hiring employees from abroad more expensive than domestic recruitment, thereby promoting local talent.

Ramaswamy’s comment

Vivek Ramaswamy also supported Musk’s point and commented on American culture. He said that “a culture that celebrates prom queens instead of Math Olympiad champions cannot produce great engineers.”

Trump support

Donald Trump also supported Elon Musk’s ideas. He said that he has always been in favor of the H-1B visa program and considers it a great program. Trump noted that many H-1B visa holders have worked at his property as well.

The debate over the H-1B visa program reflects ongoing concerns about skilled foreign workers and their contributions to the United States, and the need for reform.
