In a landmark move towards fostering gender equality and empowerment, the Mumbai Suburban TRD (Traction Distribution) department of Western Railway has introduced an exclusive women-led maintenance team. “For the past one month, the team has undergone extensive training to gain hands-on experience in operating and maintaining high-voltage electrical equipment. On Monday these dedicated women have been deployed to work independently, adhering to strict safety protocols to carry out their responsibilities efficiently.
