Indore Weather Updates: Icy Winds Intensify Cold Conditions In City | A-1 CREATION
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): With icy winds reeling the city, cold conditions intensified on Sunday as the day temperature fell by six degrees Celsius in two days. Moreover, the night temperature too dropped by two degrees Celsius in 24 hours.
The maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 21.4 degrees Celsius which was five degrees Celsius below normal while the minimum temperature was recorded 15.4 degrees Celsius which was five degrees above normal. Officials of the regional meteorological department said that it will drop by 3-5 degrees Celsius in the next two days.
The drop in temperature and cold winds forced people to remain under wraps. With a drop in temperature, the haze conditions also prevailed in the city throughout the day. The citizens woke up to a chilly morning with fog for the sixth consecutive day as visibility dropped to 700 metres on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, officials of the regional meteorological department said that weather conditions would remain the same for a couple of days and the temperature would drop further after a couple of days.
“The western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Uttar Pradesh at 3.1 km above mean sea level with a trough aloft in upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level. The induced cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level persists. Meanwhile, a trough from cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood to north Gujarat at 1.5 km above mean sea level persists,” Met officials said.
Under these conditions, cold conditions would intensify at least for a week with the drop in the minimum temperature. They added that the weather in the state is dry and humidity level may remain high due to which chances of fog and mist are high. Humidity in the morning was recorded at 95 per cent while in the evening it logged in around 89 per cent.
