Kasuri, 83, was the Foreign Minister of Pakistan from November 2002 to November 2007. He said that Manmohan Singh created a cordial atmosphere in the entire SAARC region. Meanwhile, he recalled a statement of Manmohan Singh in which he had said, ‘They are waiting for the day when it will be possible to have breakfast in Amritsar, lunch in Lahore and dinner in Kabul.’

Kasuri, in an interview to PTI, said he was fortunate to be part of the process that gave impetus to peace talks between the two countries.
