Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja. recently made shocking statements, claiming that only Mumbai and Delhi girls experience period cramps. She further said that many of the issues arise from circles, discussing the problem, and sometimes those who don’t experience cramps start to feel them psychologically.

Speaking to Hautterfly, Tina said that women in Punjab don’t realise when they undergo menopause as they don’t feel a thing. She added that, having a “desi body,” she doesn’t experience period pain or cramps. “I see girls always talking about feeling cramps. You eat your ghee, correct your diet, give up unnecessary dieting, sleep well, and things get normal. Most of the girls suffer due to their obsession with dieting.”

However, Govinda’s wife, Sunita , who was also part of the interview, supported her daughter’s statements. She advised the viewers to consult their doctors before making any changes in their diet. “Don’t blame me later saying, ‘Govinda ki biwi Sunita ne ek chamcha ghee khaane bola aur heart mein blockage hogaya,” she added

Tina Ahuja’s statements did not sit well with netizens, who criticised her heavily on social media. A user commented, “What the hell is she talking…as person suffering from endocrine disorder like PCOS and Endometriosis I can’t believe that people still feel cramps and pain are just psychological effect. I mean good for her that she doesn’t have any disorder but most women suffer from these disorders owing to the tough lifestyle and hormonal dysfunction. We are not hypochondriac we genuinely deal with it and having a Punjabi ghee won’t help the root cause. My God how do people pass such statements especially when they are no medical professionals.”

Another person added, “Who is she? Is she a certified medical practitioner? Why are we taking advice from her?” A third netizen commented, “Wtf? Everyone is not same ma’am!!”
