Mumbai: A seven-year-old girl was molested by a man who showed her a pornographic video while travelling on a bus in the Parel Bridge area. A case of molestation and POCSO has been registered in this case and the 55-year-old accused passenger has been arrested by the Bhoiwada police. After the arrest, he was produced before the POCSO court.
About The Case
According to police, The complainant woman lives in the Antop Hill area of Wadala. She has a seven-year-old daughter. She was travelling with her daughter on a bus at 5:30 pm on Thursday December 26. The accused was also travelling in the same bus. While the bus was passing through Dr. B. A Road, Parel Bridge in Parel, the accused showed the girl a pornographic video on his mobile phone. After that, he held her hand and forced her to watch the video.
In between her mother noticed this, she caught the accused with the help of other passengers and informed the police. On receiving this information, the Bhoiwada police rushed to the spot.
After this incident, the complainant woman came to the Bhoiwada police station with her daughter. After her complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused passenger under the POCSO Act sections along with molestation. As soon as the case was registered, the police arrested him.
The arrested accused lives in Wadala and works in a private company. This incident has took place when accused was going home from work. At this time, he saw the girl and showed her a porn video from his mobile and molested her. The investigation revealed that his mobile was seized by the police and this mobile has been sent to the forensic lab. There was a huge wave of anger among the other passengers after a seven-year-old girl was shown an obscene porn video during a bus journey.
