The Indian government has declared a 7-day mourning period, prompting the organizers to cancel the day’s events.
Mood Indigo 2024, themed “Enigma of Ethnicity,” had commenced on Wednesday with great enthusiasm, featuring a star-studded lineup of events and celebrity appearances, including Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and singer Stebin Ben. The festival, touted as Asia’s largest cultural fest, had promised an exciting experience for attendees.
The cancellation of the 3rd day’s events is a testament to the respect and admiration for the former Prime Minister, who served two terms from 2004 to 2014. Manmohan Singh had been in poor health for several months before his passing.
