The ship Salaya, which was carrying general cargo from Mundra to Yemen, capsized in the middle of the sea due to bad weather and all 9 sailors of the ship have been rescued by the coast guard.

 

The ship Tajdar e Haram was owned by Mustaq Ahmed Sumbania of Salaya. Whose registration number is BDI-1322. Which is dated 24.12, it left Mundra port at 5 pm with general cargo and left for Socotra port of Yemen. In which there were 9 sailors including Tandel. Due to bad weather in the Mediterranean Sea the ship could not proceed further and the ship could not cross the Arabian Sea and could not even reach the coast of Oman and to save the lives of the ship and the sailors Tandel scuttled the ship. Tried to bring it back to India. During which the ship’s engine failed. The ship is stuck in the middle of the sea. Due to very large waves and bad weather, the ship started filling with water. So the ship’s Tundra informed Adam Bhaya, Secretary of the Indian Yachting Association, through satellite phone, Adam Bhaya immediately informed the concerned department and Maritime Rescue Coordination Center Mumbai by email and sought help to save the ship and the sailors. Now this news has spread among the residents of Salaya, who are getting this news.

There are 7 sailors of Salaya on board this ship including Aftab Abdul Sakur Kher (Tandel), Baudin Isa Modi, Faisal Elias Kher, Haider Ali Abdul Rahim Kher, Imran Haroon Seta, Salemmad Omar Kher, Yasin Mammad Seta. Apart from this, Imran Hussain Jagtiya (Arambhada) and Junus Kasam Kakal (Bedi Jamnagar) thus there are total 9 members in the board. Till the time of writing, there are reports that the ship has completely sunk and the sailors have been rescued by the Indian Coast Guard.
