In a tragic incident, former radio jockey Simran Singh was found hanging in her flat in Sector 47, Gurugram on Wednesday (December 25). She was 25 years old. The Gurugram Police have launched an investigation into the case. Simran was also a popular Instagram influencer with over 682K followers.
Reportedly, the police said they suspect it to be a case of suicide. Her body has been handed over to her family.
According to several media reports, a friend who was staying with her was the one to inform the police about the incident.
Hailing from the Jammu region, Simran was affectionately known to her fans as ‘Jammu Ki Dhadkan’ (The Heartbeat of Jammu).
Simran was quite active on Instagram, however, her last post dates back to December 13. She had posted a reel in which she was seen wearing a peach Indo-Western dress. “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach,” she had captioned her post.
Simran’s untimely demise has left fans and followers in shock. A lot of them took to the comments sections of some of her recent Instagram posts to mourn his death.
“Why why why kyu kiya suicide sister? RIP,” a fan wrote. Another commented, “She died by suićide….What in the world we are living. Reat in peace.”
In August 2023, Simran had shared a video which also featured actors Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher. It was during the promotions of their film Ghoomer.
