Kota: A heart-wrenching incident came to light from Rajashtan’s Kota where a farewell party meant to celebrate a government employee’s early retirement turned into a tragedy when his ailing wife died during the event. The heartbreaking incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the woman collapses and dies during the farewell of the government employee. The government employee took early retirement to look after his ailing wife who died on the last day in office at the time of farewell ceremony.
The farewell was organised for Devendra Sandal, a manager at the Central Warehousing Corporation, who had chosen to retire three years early to care for his wife, Tina. She had been suffering from heart-related health issues for some time.
A Celebration turns into tragedy
The event began on a happy note, with the couple being garlanded and rose petals decorating the table in front of them. Smiling faces and joyful moments filled the atmosphere. However, the happiness was short-lived.
While the celebrations were underway, Tina suddenly told her husband, “Mujhe chakkar aa rahe hain” (I’m feeling dizzy). Devendra helped her sit back on a chair and began massaging her back. Concerned attendees asked for water, saying, “Paani la dena, paani” (Get some water, please).
The Moment of Collapse
Tina managed a faint smile when someone prompted her to pose for a photo. Moments later, she swayed and collapsed face-first onto the table covered in rose petals.
Despite her husband’s attempts to support her and the immediate rush to get water, she was unresponsive. She was hurried to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival.
A Heartbreaking Loss
Tina’s health had been fragile for a while, which had led Devendra to make the decision to retire early and focus on her care. The incident has left the family and the people present on the spot in shock, turning what was meant to be a memorable farewell into a sorrowful tragedy.
