Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has made a big allegation before the assembly elections in Delhi, saying that Chief Minister Atishi can be arrested by implicating him in a fake case. On Wednesday, Kejriwal, in a press conference along with Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Atishi, claimed that raids could be conducted against them too.
Kejriwal’s serious allegation
- Kejriwal said that he has come to know from sources that in the meeting of ED, CBI and Income Tax, orders have been given from above that Atishi should be arrested by making a fake case by any means.
- He said:
“I am saying with full responsibility that all three agencies have been ordered to file a fake case against Atishi.”
Allegation of hindering election preparations
- Kejriwal also said that raids will be conducted against AAP leaders.
- Expressed fear of action against Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj and himself.
- He claims that a fake case is being prepared regarding the Transport Department.
“Their real objective is to stop the free travel scheme for women. But the public will respond to this dirty politics.”
Atishi’s answer: Full confidence in the justice system
Chief Minister Atishi said regarding the conspiracy of fake case:
- “We have received concrete information that the free travel scheme for women is being targeted through a fake case of the transport department.”
- He expressed confidence that if he is arrested, the truth will come out.
- “I have full faith in the Constitution and the judicial system.”
- He said that senior leaders were also arrested by implicating them in false cases, but they later got bail.
The people of Delhi are watching everything
- Taking aim at BJP, Atishi said that there is a conspiracy to stop the facilities of Delhiites by creating false cases.
- “You can implicate us in a false case, but the public understands and is watching everything.”
Clarification on Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana
- Atishi termed the notices published in newspapers as wrong, in which the public was warned not to share documents in the name of Mahila Samman Yojana.
- He said:
“Under pressure from BJP, some officials have published wrong information. Strict action will be taken against these officers.”
Aam Aadmi Party’s side
- Atishi said that notification of Mahila Samman Yojana has been issued from the cabinet.
- The scheme of Rs 1000 is in force and after the elections it will be increased to Rs 2100.
- Sanjeevani scheme will also be implemented after the elections.
- Calling it an election promise, Arvind Kejriwal said:
“The public has confidence, and those who are registering will get the benefits after the elections.”
