Team India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has created history in the latest ICC rankings. Bumrah has equaled R Ashwin’s 8 year old record. Bumrah’s performance in the Test series against Australia has been very good. Bumrah has taken a total of 21 wickets in the three Test matches played so far. With this, Travis Head has jumped one place to number four.

 

Bumrah reached the peak of his career

Jasprit Bumrah has achieved a big position in the latest Test rankings released by ICC. Bumrah has crossed the mark of 900 rating points for the first time in his career. Bumrah is the number one bowler in the world and he has strengthened his position even further. With coming number one, Bumrah’s total rating points have increased to 904. Bumrah has become the Indian bowler with the joint highest rating points. Earlier in the year 2016, R Ashwin had reached 904 rating points.

Bumrah wreaked havoc with the ball

Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the Border-Gavaskar series has been excellent. Boom-Boom Bumrah has taken a total of 21 wickets in three test matches so far. The Indian fast bowler took 9 wickets in the third test match played at Gabba. In the first innings, Bumrah took six wickets while in the second innings the fast bowler dismissed three Kangaroo batsmen. So far in this series, Kangaroo batsman seems completely helpless in front of Bumrah. Bumrah has taken the most wickets in the series.

 

 

 

 

Head also benefited

Along with Bumrah, Australia’s star batsman Travis Head has also benefited in the latest ICC rankings. Head, who played a brilliant innings of 152 runs in the Gabba Test, has jumped one place to fourth position. With this, Yashasvi Jaiswal has lost one place and has now slipped to fifth place. Joe Root remains at number one in the ranking of batsmen. Steve Smith has again joined the top 10 with a century in the third test. Rishabh Pant has slipped two places.
