Top seed Toshina of Russia defeated Rachapudi 6-3, 6-0, Britain’s J. Matos Fernandez continued his campaign by defeating Russia’s M. Mikhailova 6-2, 6-2. Ronda lost easily 6-2, 6-0. Japan’s Kobayashi won the match 7-5, 6-0 against India’s Yashaswini Panwar after a little struggle in the first set. The Japanese player kept the opponent under constant pressure by playing excellent footwork and baseline game. In another encounter, Lakshmi Prabha S. Patil defeated Valeria Monaco of Russia 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. Sawant defeated 6-1, 6-2, India’s Adkar defeated America’s Priyanka Rana 6-1, 6-0, Denmark’s E. Jamshidi defeated Nepal’s A. Bistan 6-1, 6-0, p.
