Mumbai: Hyderabad Police questioned Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for four hours in connection with the tragic incident that took place during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rise at Sandhya Theatre. A woman named Revathi Reddy died in this stampede. In this incident which took place on December 4, a huge crowd had gathered outside the theater to get a glimpse of the actor. According to Arjun, who is out on bail, he came to know about the incident the next day. Police are investigating whether Allu Arjun was allowed to be present in the theater and come out and talk to the fans. Apart from this, the police is also investigating the role of Allu Arjun’s security team and theater management.
Arjun reached Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad at 11 am along with his father Allu Aravind and provided adequate cooperation in the police investigation. Pushpa Star was asked about not being allowed to attend the screening of the film. He was also asked whether his PR team had informed him about the heavy mud accumulation outside Sandhya Theatre.
Police alleged that Allu Arjun came despite being barred from the special screening and conducted a road show without any notice, resulting in the crowd becoming unruly and leading to the tragedy.
Arjun may be interrogated again and there is a possibility of him being taken to the crime scene also. During the interrogation, CCTV footage of the theater was also seen in which people were trying to go inside despite Vishal Medina’s efforts to stop him from gathering outside.
Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the case. But later the same day he was granted bail for four weeks. Arjun gave Rs. 10,000 to the victim’s family. 25 lakhs while the makers of Pushpa Two have contributed Rs. Financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh was given.
Meanwhile, heavy security arrangements were made outside Arjun’s house also. On Sunday, a group claiming to be students of Osmania University entered his house and vandalized it. He paid Rs. Demanded assistance of one crore. Police arrested six people in connection with the incident, but they were released on bail on Monday.

Congress MLA Thinmar Malanna has filed a complaint with Rachak Onda police against the cast, director and producer of Pushpa-Too for insulting police officers. The complaint filed on Monday alleged that the film portrayed police officers as corrupt. He cited a scene in the complaint in which the hero is seen urinating in a swimming pool where an IPS officer is present. According to the prosecutor, this scene is an insult to the police department.
