Istanbul: At least 12 people have been killed and several others injured after a massive explosion at an apartment (weapons manufacturing) factory in northwestern Turkey. There have also been injuries.
Giving this information, provincial governor Ismail Utaoglu said, Turkey’s state-owned Anadolu official agency said that the explosion occurred in the capsule-making part of the factory in the country’s northwestern province of Bali Ksar. He further said that the explosion was so powerful that the entire factory building collapsed. Not only this, cracks appeared in the walls of nearby houses. Its windows were broken. As soon as we received this information, we sent relief teams. But the exact cause of the explosion is not yet known. Now a thorough investigation will be conducted in this regard.
