Ujiyare mein, andhkaar mein,
Kal-kachhar mein, Beech Dhaar mein,
Kshanik Jeet mein Deergh Haar mein.
Armaano ko Dhalna Hoga,
Jeevan ke Shat-Shat Aakarshak,
Kadam Milaakar Chalna Hoga.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav penned down a heartfelt note for the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 100th birth anniversary on Wednesday.
“Today marks the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who proclaimed ‘Kadam Milakar Chalana Hoga’. Heartfelt tributes are paid to the visionary Prime Minister.
Atal Ji, from being an RSS volunteer to the editor of Rashtradharma and from his responsibilities in the Jana Sangh to the Bharatiya Janata Party, nurtured generations of workers. To make the earth fertile and prosper ous, he envisioned the River Linking Project nearly 20 years ago. Madhya Pradesh is blessed with abundant water resources. So, this project will become Bundelk- hand s lifeline.
“This project is being developed on the Ken River in Chhatarpur and Panna districts of MP. It includes the construction of the Daudhan Dam on the Ken River within the Panna Tiger Reserve, with a height of 77 meters and a length of 2.13 kilometers, along with two tunnels. The dam will store 2,853 million cubic meters of water.
Through a pressurized micro-irrigation system, the project will enable irrigation across 8.11 lakh hectares of land in approximately 2,000 villages of 10 districts in Madhya Pradesh, including Panna, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Niwari, Sagar, Raisen, Vidisha, Shivpuri, and Datia.
Nearly 7 lakh farming families will benefit from this initiative. It will provide drinking water to a population of 44 lakh in MP and 21 lakh in UP. This project will involve the construction of 21 dams and barrages and benefit 3,217 villages in the state.
“I am pleased to inform you that today marks the realisa- tion of efforts made in the state towards energy self-suffi- ciency and green energy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project on the holy Narmada River.
Democracy begins with the first unit, the Gram Pan- chayat. Atal Ji had launched a campaign to make villages well-governed and empowered. The Prime Minister is coming to Khajuraho to fulfill the vision of Atal Ji.”
