Mumbai: Following the recent arrest of key persons involved in gold smuggling in the city, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has identified six persons.

The DRI had last week arrested two persons – RS Jain and RK Jain alias Kalia – for allegedly being part of a syndicate, and a primary beneficiary of the smuggled gold.

One of them, RS Jain, also acted as an informant for DRI, wherein he allegedly provided intelligence about smuggling activities. Based on this intelligence, the DRI would conduct raids and seize the gold. Meanwhile, the syndicate would retain a large quantity of gold and spread false information in the market.
