Ludhiana: Due to cold wave and dense fog in Punjab, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert till December 27. During this period, there is a possibility of light rain in many districts, which may further increase the cold.

Cold has increased in various districts of Punjab. Pathankot was the coldest place in the state, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.6 degrees Celsius. Among other districts, Gurdaspur recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees, Patiala 6.5 degrees, Amritsar and Faridkot 7 degrees, and Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility that life will be affected due to cold wave and fog. Citizens have been advised to exercise caution and wear warm clothes.
