Ingredients required to make Hara Bhara Kebab
- Boiled potatoes (2-3 medium size).
- Spinach (1 cup, boiled).
- Peas (1/2 cup, boiled).
- Green coriander (chopped, 2 tbsp)
- Roasted gram flour (2 tbsp).
- Bread crumbs (1/4 cup, as needed)
- Garlic (2-3 cloves, finely chopped).
- Ginger (1 inch piece, grated)
- Green chillies (2-3, finely chopped).
- Cashews (2 pieces, for garnish)
- Cumin (1/2 tsp).
- salt to taste).
- Red chilli powder (1/2 tsp).
- Garam masala powder (1/2 tsp).
- Dry mango powder (1/2 tsp).
- Ghee (for baking on pan).
How to make Hara Bhara Kebab
- Prepare Spinach and Peas:
- Boil spinach and peas and squeeze out the water well.
- Prepare the mixture:
- Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds in it.
- Now add boiled spinach and peas to it and fry well.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli to it.
- After roasting, cool it and then grind it in a mixer.
- Mix potatoes and paste:
- Mash boiled potatoes and add spinach-pea paste to it.
- Add chopped coriander and all the spices (salt, red chilli, garam masala, dry mango powder) to it.
- Bind the ingredients:
- Add roasted gram flour to the mixture.
- If the mixture is too wet, add bread crumbs to it.
- Mix everything well.
- Prepare kebabs:
- Make small round tikki shaped kebabs from the prepared mixture.
- Place a piece of cashew on top of each kebab.
- Cook kebabs:
- Apply light ghee on the pan and cook the kebab until it becomes golden and crispy from both the sides.
- If you want, you can also deep fry the kebab.
