In a brutal incident in Massajog, Kej taluka of Beed district, village sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh was murdered. This has significantly escalated the situation in the state. Following the incident, Santosh Deshmukh’s family and villagers are accusing Walmik Karad, who is considered close to Cabinet Minister Dhananjay Munde, of being the mastermind behind the murder. As a result, the villagers of Massajog have been demanding that Dhananjay Munde be excluded from the state cabinet.

On Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited Beed and met with the family of Santosh Deshmukh. Following this, on Sunday (December 22), a memorandum was submitted to Ajit Pawar on behalf of the Maratha Kranti Morcha. The memorandum demands the arrest of Minister Dhananjay Munde and his removal from the cabinet.

A state-level meeting of the Maratha Kranti Morcha was held in Mumbai. During the meeting, the brutal and inhuman murder of Santosh Deshmukh, the sarpanch of Massajog village in Beed district, was condemned. Various resolutions were presented during the meeting. On December 28, a march will be organized by the Maratha Kranti Morcha in Beed district.

Some resolutions of the Maratha Kranti Morcha:

Dhananjay Munde should be removed from his ministerial position until justice is served for Santosh Deshmukh.

Walmik Karad should be charged as an accused in the murder of Santosh Deshmukh and sentenced to death for masterminding the murder. Dhananjay Munde should be made an accomplice due to his interference.

Police officers and staff who failed in their duties should also be made accomplices in the crime.

Police protection should be provided to the family of Santosh Deshmukh and Massajog village.

The entire Maratha community should provide financial assistance to the family of Santosh Deshmukh.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should take direct responsibility for Beed district and establish law and order.
