Gulf countries are refusing to give visa to Pakistan: The Gulf country and its major cities are the preferred destination for millions of Pakistani tourists and job seekers. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and several other Gulf countries have imposed an indefinite ban on people from 30 cities of Pakistan by flatly refusing to grant them visas. Due to this, Pakistani passport is ranked fourth worst in the world for the third consecutive year. Additionally, the UAE has made it mandatory for visa applicants from Pakistan to submit a character certificate issued by the police.

What is the reason for imposing sanctions on Pakistan?

There are many reasons behind rejection of Pakistani visa applications by Gulf countries. In which beggars and drug smugglers are the main reasons, they are caught smuggling after reaching Gulf countries on tourist or job visa. Many Pakistanis have also been caught smuggling drugs. Recruiting companies in Gulf countries, especially those involved in sending workers to Gulf countries, also use forged documents and experience certificates to get the team there. They get the work done by bribing the agencies.

Gulf companies complain about Pakistani recruiters

Many companies in the Gulf countries have complained that the people sent by the agencies fail to meet even the basic requirements of the respective jobs, leading to serious problems. Therefore Gulf companies no longer want to hire any laborers or technicians from Pakistan because they know that the workforce coming from Pakistan will prove to be inefficient. They can get better jobs by hiring people from countries like India, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
