On one hand the world is burning in the fire of a big war on two different fronts. Meanwhile, almost all the countries of the world are praising India’s policies. This is why many big countries of the world are currently working with India and powerful countries like America and Russia are appreciating India’s role. Elaborating on the importance of India, former German Ambassador Walter J Lindner clarified that global development is impossible without India. He made this comment in an interview given to Economic Times, in which he said that the world cannot progress without India.
What did Lindner say?
Lindner said India’s soft power is still alive because it is part of Indian culture. He said that India is a country without whose opinion and active participation the world cannot become truly balanced and dynamic. In particular, issues like water crisis, urban planning and the fight against plastic can only be addressed from an Indian perspective.
India played a big role
India has played an important role in maintaining global balance amid political turmoil, wars and conflicts in recent years. Despite these turmoils, India has acquired an important role in its foreign policy. Lindner also commented on India’s economic system, saying that the world needs to learn that India is not only a center of Guru tradition and religious events, but also a hub of entrepreneurship and a hub of IT innovations.
India will become the third largest economy
He also said that India’s economy could soon become the third or fourth largest economy in the world. Lindner’s book, What the West Should Learn from India, discusses in depth the role of India in the new global order and the need for the Western world to understand the importance of India. This book clearly presents India’s rich culture, economic power and vision of global empowerment.
