Indore (Madhya Pradesh): More than 2 lakh devotees are expected to gather for the grand Prabhat Pheri of Lord Ranjeet Hanuman on Monday morning.
The golden chariot of Lord Hanuman will set out from Ranjeet Hanuman Temple at 5 am, marking the beginning of the Rath Yatra. Devotees will welcome the deity with chants of ‘Jai Ranjeet’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as the procession moves through the city. Preparations for the occasion of Ranjeet Ashtami began earlier this week.
On Wednesday night, stages were set up at various points along the route, and prasad was prepared for distribution. According to Pt Deepesh Vyas, the Rath Yatra will cover a 4 km route through the western region of the city, taking approximately 5 hours to complete.
The golden chariot, symbolising divine grace, will be pulled by 251 devotees. After completing its journey, the procession will return to the temple, where a series of rituals, including worship and Maha Aarti, will take place.
Devotees will then receive Raksha Sutra and prasad as blessings. Meanwhile, the traffic cops made arrangements to divert traffic during the procession on Monday for the convenience of the commuters.
Route
The Prabhat Pheri (procession) will start from temple and will pass through Dravina Nagar, Mhow Naka Square, Annapurna Road, Mahavar Nagar, Usha Nagar Square, Dussehra Maidan, in front of Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple, Narendra Tiwari Marg, Aditya Nursing Home and will return to Ranjeet Hanuman temple and end. A large number of devotees are expected to take part in the Prabhat Pheri.
Traffic diversion and parking
The traffic cops have said that commuters who want to travel from Phooti Kothi Square to Mhow Naka Square via Ranjit Hanuman Temple road and from Mhow Naka to Phuthi Kothi, will not be able to travel on this road from 3 am during the Prabhat Pheri. Such drivers will be able to proceed further from Phooti Kothi Square via Chandan Nagar Square, Gangwal Bus Stand.
Those who want to go towards Juni Indore, Bhanwarkuan, will be able to proceed further from Gopur Chauraha, Chanakyapuri Square.
When the Prabhat Pheri comes on Annapurna Road, the commuters will not be able to travel from Chanakyapuri Square to Mhow Naka Square via Annapurna Road and from Mhow Naka Square to Annapurna Road. These drivers should use Lalbagh T to Kesar Bagh Road.
People coming from the side of collectorate to attend the Prabhat Pheri are urged to park their vehicles at Lalbagh premises Drivers coming from Gangwal Bus Squad can park their vehicles at Sarafa School and Government School in MOG Line premises Passengers coming from Annapurna area can park their vehicles at Dussehra Maidan.
