In Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh, a car hit a calf and dragged it on a busy road until a cow herd blocked the vehicle and paved the way for rescue.
After the young cow came under the vehicle, the cows rushed to stop the four-wheeler and save the animal. The calf saw a narrow escape from death after the car halted and locals rushed to its rescue.

Calf dragged for 200 metres
A video of the calf being dragged for reportedly 200 metres is being shared online by several internet users. It shows the young animal coming under the vehicle on a road in Chhattisgarh, followed by people running to rescue it.
When people saw the calf was stuck below the car, they resorted to help and safe the live of the animal.
Soon after the car was stopped by the herd of cows, people gathered around the vehicle and bended down to pull out the calf carefully.
The cows were seen surrounding the car, not allowing it to escape the spot. They ensured the road was blocked to facilitate the calf’s rescue.
Rescued alive by locals
At the end of the footage, the calf was rescued alive. The animal suffered some injuries. People rescued the calf safely and now it is undergoing treatment.
The video of the timely rescue of the calf is being widely shared across social media. The emotional footage has gone viral. While the time when the incident took place is unclear, one of the CCTV videos suggested the incident to have unfolded on “11/01/2000”.
