The raid by Lokayukta police in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has shocked everyone. So much wealth and property has been found from the hideouts of former transport department constable Saurabh Sharma that it is being called ‘Kuber’s treasure’. In the raids, gold and silver are being recovered not in kilos but in quintals.

Amazing story of recovery in raid

In this raid that has been going on for three days, the Lokayukta Police has so far recovered about 300 kg of gold and silver and several crores of rupees in cash from various places of Saurabh Sharma. The recovery of silver and other assets hidden under the tiles in Saurabh’s office surprised even the investigation team.

Innova car found in the forest
A huge amount of cash and gold was also recovered from an abandoned Innova car in a forest in Bhopal. The registration of this car is in the name of Saurabh’s close friend Chandan Gaur.

The store of silver was hidden under the tiles

During investigation in Saurabh Sharma’s office, silver ingots were found hidden under the tiles. Apart from this, diamond rings, expensive watches, and a ladies purse worth Rs 15 lakh were also found from a secret locker.

Ordinary job, extraordinary wealth

Saurabh Sharma worked in the transport department for about 12 years and then took VRS. At one time he was getting a monthly salary of only Rs 40 thousand. But today even the investigating officers are surprised to see so much wealth with him.

Suspicious network and fear of escape

Saurabh Sharma and his close aide Chandan Gaur are still absconding. Police suspect that Saurabh may be planning to flee abroad. The question is also being raised whether this property belongs only to Saurabh or is there a big network working behind it.

More revelations possible in the coming days
