BJP Yuva Morcha workers who were protesting in front of the Congress office at Azad Maidan suddenly became aggressive and entered the Congress office. In this incident, the police intervened and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd and detained some workers and took them to Azad Maidan police station. However, BJP and Congress workers were left behind in Azad Maidan police station also.
Mumbai MP and Congress city president Varsha Gaikwad said that around 50 BJP workers came to our party office. Chairs were thrown and posters were torn. Vandalized office property. Our workers protested against their attack. We will take legal action in this matter. He said that whenever BJP and Sangh Parivar heard the name of Baba Saheb, they always attacked and vandalized.
