IAS officer instructed employees not to make the elderly wait any longer
Around 65 CCTV cameras have been installed at the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority office in Noida. Every day a large number of people come to office for their work. An IAS officer of 2005 batch had taken charge of this office last year. They frequently check camera footage and instruct staff not to keep people, especially the elderly, waiting for too long.
Punishment to work while standing for 20 minutes
On Monday he saw an elderly man standing at the counter. He immediately asked the lady at the counter to take care of the old man and not make him wait. He also told the female employee that if her work is not going to be done then she should flatly refuse it. 20 minutes later the CEO noticed the old man still standing at the counter. Angered by this, the officers immediately approached the employees and sentenced them to work while standing for 20 minutes.
