Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The principal bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur has asked state government to submit reply on Wednesday about the alleged anomalies committed in appointment of school teachers.
The division bench of Chief Justice Suresh Kait and Justice Vivek Jain passed the order. There was an advertisement for recruitment on more than 17,000 posts school teachers by state school education department and tribal affairs department from 2021 to 2024 but appointments have been made on 12,000 posts.
The remaining posts are lying vacant. Despite giving several opportunities to Madhya Pradesh government for reply, the government presented incomplete information. Considering the record presented by the government as insufficient, the High Court has sought explanation.
Advocate Rameshwar Singh Thakur who appeared on behalf of petitioners said, “School education department informed court on affidavit that there are 448 teachers who obtained more than 45% and less than 50% marks in postgraduate mark sheet but have been appointed because their mark sheet mentions that they got second division.
The petitioners obtained less than 50% and more than 45% marks but have not been appointed because third division is written on their mark sheet.”
