Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Kolar police have registered a case against a man who duped a person on pretext of partnership in business. Complaint, Sarvdharm Colony resident, Amit Rai told police on Tuesday that he met a sales officer at a private firm Raj Mishra sometimes back.
Mishra offered him a partnership in a business and took cash Rs 8 lakh in instalments. However, Mishra did not share any profits and when Rai tried to question him over this, Mishra stopped receiving his calls. Kolar police said further investigations are underway.
Jeweller booked for Rs 7.6L embezzlement
In another incident, Nishatpura police have booked a jeweller for allegedly embezzling ornaments mortgaged against loan. In his complaint, Pramod Sen claimed that in January 2023, he pawned his wife’s ornaments with a jeweller Hamir Lodhi in return of cash Rs 7.6 lakh.
Sen later returned the cash but Hamir claimed that the ornaments were kept at a safe place and will be given later. However, despite repeated requests, Hamir refused to return the ornaments. Later, Sen learnt that Hamir had pawned the ornaments with another person in return for cash.
