Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A BTech student committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room under Jehangirabad police station limit on late Sunday night. His hung body was found in the room on Monday morning by his friends and landlord.
Hailing from Motihari district of Bihar, Hamid Raza Khan, 23, was a third year BTech student of Electronic and Communication at a private college. He lived in a rented room near Rasulia Mosque under Jehangirabad police station limit.
Police investigations revealed that Hamid send messages to his father and friends saying goodbye to them while lamenting that he could not achieve anything in his life. Hamid then hanged himself from the ceiling using a bedsheet.
On Monday morning, Hamid’s friends reached his room to inquire when they read his messages and found the room locked from inside. They along with the landlord broke the door of the room and were shocked to see Hamid’s body hanging from the ceiling.
Jehangirabad police reached the spot after receiving information and carried out investigations. No suicide note was found in the room. Jehnagirabad police station incharge Ashutosh Upadhyay said body had been sent for autopsy and the student’s kin had been informed.
No suicide note has been found and the victim’s friends and family members will be questioned to establish the reason behind the extreme step taken by him, he added.
