Plot
The Rig is set on the Kinloch Bravo oil rig, which is stationed in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland. It centres around a group of workers whose lives turn upside down when a mysterious fog spreads around their ship and severs their communication. What happens when the fog also causes spores to spread, which leads to behavioural changes in some of the crew members? The series explores themes of climate change, anxiety, economic insecurity, interpersonal conflicts, trust, and paranoia.
