Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A young woman was brutally attacked by her landlord’s relatives after a 150-rupee debt was not paid on time in Gwalior on Saturday. The assault involved kicks, punches, and an attempted stripping.

A video of the incident was recored by the onlookers, in which the attacker can be seen kicking an e-rickshaw and then trying to enter the woman’s place, where she was trying to save herself.

When a neighbor, who drove an e-rickshaw, tried to intervene, they vandalized his vehicle as well.

The woman later reported the incident to the police, providing video evidence. However, she claimed that the police mistreated her at the station.

According to information, the woman named Pooja Lodhi was brutally attacked by her landlord’s relatives over a 150-rupee debt.

Pooja and her mother claimed that after vacating their rented home, the landlord’s relatives demanded the money.

When Pooja said she would pay later, they became enraged.

Anand Sengar, the landlord’s relative, along with two women, physically assaulted her, using fists, sticks, and a machete.

Anand, in a violent rage, also destroyed the e-rickshaw of a neighbor who had tried to intervene.

After the attack, Pooja fled to her new house, where she locked herself inside for safety. However, Anand broke into her house and continued the assault, even attempting to strip her. Thankfully, neighbors intervened and saved her.

Covered in blood, Pooja went to the police station, but her complaint was ignored. She alleged that a female police officer treated her disrespectfully.

Desperate, Pooja later submitted video evidence showing Anand and the women attacking her and damaging the e-rickshaw.

After seeing the footage, senior police officials assured that strict legal action would be taken against the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Pooja and her mother are in a state of constant fear, and the young woman remains traumatized, often recalling the horrific incident.
