Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In the case of vandalising of the showroom of Milind Mahajan son of former Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and assault on her grandson Siddharth, the accused were granted bail by the local court suspecting that more charges were added against them under political influence.

Five accused including the nephew of BJP leader Pratap Karosia got bail on a bond of Rs 10,000. The accused’s lawyer Amir Khokar said that all of them appeared in the regular court on Saturday. They got bail from there. According to the information, the basis of bail is the sections added after the arrest. The defence appealed the court that the sections have been added after the FIR suspecting it was done under political influence.

On November 7, police registered a case against four people including the son of a BJP leader for vandalising the vehicle service centre owned by Milind Mahajan, son of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. Two employees of the service centre got injured in the incident. The incident occurred under Azad Nagar Police Station jurisdiction, where the service centre’s glass panels were smashed.

Also, the centre manager was allegedly manhandled by the accused. Sumitra Mahajan’s grandson Siddharth Mahajan was in a cabin in the service centre at the time of the incident. The entire episode was captured on CCTVs installed at the showroom. According to the police, a case has been registered against Saurabh Karosiya and three of his accomplices. It is said that Saurabh is the son of BJP leader Pratap Karosiya.

The altercation reportedly began when Saurabh visited the service centre near Chhoti Lakhani Factory on Nemawar Road for vehicle servicing. Saurabh allegedly tried to leave without paying the service bill. When the showroom staff attempted to stop him, Saurabh, along with his associates, allegedly assaulted the employees and vandalized the premises.
