Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has expressed his anger over a roast video by YouTubers Gautami Kawale and Abhyudaya Mohan on their channel Slayy Point. Known for their humourous takes on social media influencers and celebrities, the duo faced backlash after a segment in their latest video involved Elvish’s mother, which he deemed disrespectful.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Elvish addressed the issue and threatened legal action against the YouTubers. “I had no problem with the roast, but using my mother for the roast is not funny,” he wrote.
He added, “Bolte rehte ho na Elvish bhai, aap kuch karte kyu nahi. Legal legal khilaata hu bacho ko ab toh kaanoon bhi seekh liya (You always say I don’t do anything. Let me teach you the law now).”
In another tweet, Elvish wrote, “Hi Slaypoint I hope sab theek hai Aur aage sab theek rahe😃”
Fans rallied behind Elvish, calling out Slayy Point for crossing the line. They criticised the YouTubers for involving a family member in their satire.
“Slay Point, we’re fine with your roast, but involving parents crosses the line especially for cheap theatrics. You did this just for some views knowing very well the fact that people will react to it adversely. You have parents we are assuming, it’s not rocket since to show their picture and call you names… I am pretty sure you will have the same reaction when we do the same with you,” a fan of Elvish wrote on X.
In response to the backlash, Gautami and Abhyudaya announced that they have removed the controversial portion of the video. “Okay we have removed that part,” they wrote.
Elvish gained popularity after participating in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss OTT 2. He had also emerged as a winner of the season. Post that, he appeared in several music videos.
For those unaware, Elvish found himself embroiled in a significant controversy following his arrest in the snake venom case in March 2024. He spent 14 days behind bars but was released on bail before the completion of the aforementioned period.
Elvish often makes headlines for his controversial comments on various issues and for his viral videos.
