Mirzapur, 13 December (Hindustan Reporter). A one-day training program based on the main provisions of the Right to Information Act 2005 and Uttar Pradesh Public Interest Guarantee Act 2011 was organized by the Administrative Reforms Department, Uttar Pradesh Government on Friday in the Commissioner’s Office Auditorium. The program was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Muthu Kumar Swamy B., Rajaram Saheb (SRP RTI), retired IAS V.K. Gangwar, and State Resource Person Dr. Rahul Singh lit the lamp.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Muthu Kumar Swamy directed the officials to provide the information sought to the applicants in a time bound manner under the Information and Public Interest Guarantee Act. He also advised the officers to get in-depth knowledge of the Act.

Chief Inspector VK Gangwar said that 406 departmental and 10 common services have been notified under the Uttar Pradesh Public Interest Guarantee Act 2011. Timely disposal of these services is mandatory, otherwise a fine of up to Rs 5000 can be imposed on the officials concerned.

During the program, Vindhyachal Division Inspector Ravi Shankar Chaturvedi informed the officials about the provisions of the Act and the RTI online process. The program was conducted by Rajendra Tiwari.
