After leading the ruling coalition to a massive win in the Assembly elections, the BJP will hold a state-level convention in Shirdi on January 12 to strengthen its youth outreach, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced on Friday.

The convention has been strategically scheduled to coincide with the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will be the chief guests at the event. A grand felicitation ceremony for the newly elected Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will also be organised.

The event is expected to draw approximately 10,000 BJP office bearers and young party workers from across the state.

In the recent Assembly elections, the MahaYuti alliance resonated strongly with women voters through the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’. With this convention, the BJP now seeks to expand its support among the youth as it gears up for the civic elections.
