Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An 88-year-old woman was strangled to death by her two drunk sons because they did not want to take care of her on Friday in Gwalior.

The woman identified as Kamla Koshta, was strangled to death by her two sons in Gwalior.

According to information, the shocking incident happened in Rai Colony, where the sons, Dalchand Koshta and Pappu alias Premnarayan Koshta, lived with their mother.

They confessed to killing her because they did not want to care for her anymore.

The sons initially claimed their mother had died a natural death and were preparing for her last rites. However, suspicious neighbors informed the police, who reached the spot before the cremation.

The body was sent for post-mortem, which confirmed strangulation as the cause of death.

During questioning, the sons confessed to the crime, stating they were unwilling to look after their elderly mother and had argued about this many times before. On the day of the incident, they consumed alcohol and, in an intoxicated state, carried out the murder.

Both sons have been arrested, and the police have filed a case of murder. Investigations are ongoing.
