Mumbai: The Passenger Reservation System (PRS) for Mumbai will be temporarily shut down from 11:45 PM on December 14, 2024, to 4:45 AM on December 15, 2024, for essential maintenance work involving PNR compression. The maintenance is being carried out to optimize system performance and ensure efficient operations.
Due to the shutdown, PRS services, Coaching Refund services and Other services like IVRS, Current Reservation, Chart Display, Touch Screen, Refund counters and Coaching refund terminal etc. will not be available.
“Passengers are advised to note that internet booking for Mumbai PRS trains will also be inaccessible during the maintenance window ” said an official of CR. However, refunds can still be initiated through the issuance of TDRs (Ticket Deposit Receipts) in line with existing refund rules.
The Railway Administration has requested the cooperation of passengers and rail users during this brief disruption, emphasizing the importance of the maintenance work in improving service reliability and efficiency.
