A video has surfaced in the suicide case of engineer Atul Subhash in Bengaluru, who took the extreme step due to alleged harassment by his wife and in-laws. The video shows the accused wife Nikita’s mother and brother sneaking out of the house. Nikita’s mother is seen wrapped in a shawl due to the cold, while her brother is wearing a sweater. Both of them leave on a bike shortly afterward.

In the video, Nikita’s mother appears shivering from the cold and has her hands clasped together. After locking the house, both mother and son fled the scene. Their escape through the alley was captured on camera. Nikita’s brother is identified as Anurag Singhania, and her mother as Nisha Singhania. They escaped from their house near Khoya Mandi in the Kotwali area.

In Bengaluru, 34-year-old AI engineer Atul Subhash died by suicide at his home. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Atul was so troubled by the system and his wife that he left behind a 24-page suicide note. He also recorded a 1.5-hour video in which he detailed his struggles, including fighting against the system and dealing with more than nine false cases.

In the video, Atul stated, “The courts, police, and the entire system run on the taxpayers’ money of people like me. Yet, they harass me, my family, and others like me.”

He further added, “When I am no longer in this world, there will be no tax contributions from me, and these people will have no reason to trouble my family.” Atul accused his wife Nikita Singhania and her family of driving him to suicide.

FIR registered against Atul’s wife and in-laws

An FIR was registered against four individuals in connection with the suicide of Atul at the Marathahalli Police Station in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Acting on a complaint by Atul’s brother, Bikas Kumar, the deceased’s wife, Nikita Singhania; mother-in-law, Nisha Singhania; brother-in-law, Anurag Singhania; and uncle-in-law, Sushil Singhania, have been booked under Section 108 (abetment of suicide) and Section 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the BNS. The police investigation into the case in ongoing.
