CIDCO’s ‘My Preferred CIDCO Home’ Mass Housing Scheme of 26,000 tenements continues to draw an overwhelming response. A record milestone of 1,00,000 applications has been received as of Wednesday. “It is an indicator of the popularity of the scheme which has received an overwhelming response from the beginning. Considering the request made by the citizens the extension has been granted for online registration of the scheme up to 26 December, 2024. CIDCO is confident that the enthusiasm for online registration will continue till the last date of registration. Tthe achievement of one lakh applications represents public recognition of CIDCO’s contributions and credibility in the housing sector,” said an official from CIDCO.
CIDCO launched ‘My Preferred CIDCO Home’, a Mass Housing Scheme of 26,000 tenements on October 12, 2024 on the occasion of Dussehra. Under the scheme 26,000 tenements have been made available for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) under the PMAY and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories. The tenements are available at Vashi, Bamandongri, Kharkopar, Kharghar (W), Kharghar (E) (Taloja), Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel and Kalamboli nodes of Navi Mumbai.
The housing scheme has provided an opportunity to experience an enriched lifestyle of Navi Mumbai coupled with excellent infrastructure, connectivity and quality construction, said CIDCO.
The extension for online registration for the scheme has been granted up to 26 December, 2024 to allow more and more citizens to apply for the scheme and to provide them a sufficient time to collect the necessary documents. Also, the conditions of submitting the barcoded Domicile Certificate and the notarized affidavit on stamp paper valued Rs.100/- or Rs. 500/- have been relaxed already. It had facilitated great number of citizens to apply for the scheme more conveniently.
“Now, the E-KYC registration for the scheme can be done till 26 December, 2024. Also, the updated information regarding the scheme is published on CIDCO’s official social media handles from time to time,” the officer added.
