The Indian cricket team is currently on Australia tour, where it is playing a five-match series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After the first two test matches, the series is tied at 1-1 and Indian team’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has performed brilliantly in these matches. Bumrah has taken 12 wickets so far, which is the highest for the Indian team. However, despite Bumrah’s brilliant bowling, great West Indies fast bowler Andy Roberts chose someone else and not Jasprit Bumrah as India’s best bowler.

Mohammed Shami is considered the best bowler of India

Andy Roberts said in an interview that Mohammed Shami has been India’s best bowler for some time. Although Shami does not have as many wickets as Bumrah, the consistency and variety in his bowling is unmatched. Describing Shami as ‘full package’, Roberts said that very few bowlers can swing and seam as much as Shami. Shami’s bowling control is also equal to Bumrah. Roberts also said that Mohammed Shami should be included in the Indian team for the third Test, as he is India’s best bowler at the moment.
