The Indian cricket team is currently on Australia tour, where it is playing a five-match series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, despite Bumrah’s brilliant bowling, great West Indies fast bowler Andy Roberts chose someone else and not Jasprit Bumrah as India’s best bowler.

Andy Roberts said in an interview that Mohammed Shami has been India’s best bowler for some time. Although Shami does not have as many wickets as Bumrah, the consistency and variety in his bowling is unmatched. Describing Shami as ‘full package’, Roberts said that very few bowlers can swing and seam as much as Shami. Shami’s bowling control is also equal to Bumrah. Roberts also said that Mohammed Shami should be included in the Indian team for the third Test, as he is India’s best bowler at the moment.

According to a report, BCCI has completed all preparations to send Shami to Australia, which also includes his visa process. At present, BCCI and the selection committee are waiting for Shami’s fitness clearance. Shami recently went to Bengaluru for a fitness test and also performed well in the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.

According to reports, a BCCI official said, ‘We are waiting for Shami’s fitness report. He recently gave a fitness test in Bengaluru and also performed well in the Ranji Trophy. Their kit is ready, now we are waiting for the approval from NCA.
