Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A person died and two others were injured after gunfire incident over a land dispute in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
The incident occurred in the Maharajpura area when two parties, both of which included relatives, clashed over farming land.
The police reported that the dispute between the two sides escalated when one party began plowing a field that belonged to Nihal Singh. The tension led to a heated argument, which ultimately resulted in gunfire.
Nihal Singh lost his life, and two others, Vakeela and Shailendra Gurjar, were severely injured.
Family members explained that the issue was regarding a field that Nihal Singh owned, and despite previous attempts at mediation, the opposing party had repeatedly plowed it.
The argument turned violent when the opposing side, led by Veer Singh, started shooting, resulting in the fatality and injuries.
The police have sent Nihal Singh’s body for post-mortem and are searching for the suspects involved in the shooting, including Veer Singh and others.
Shailendra Gurjar, whose condition is critical, may be referred for further treatment. The situation remains under investigation.
