A sudden leak has occurred in a 600-mm diameter main water pipeline at Lucky Junction on Swami Vivekananda Road in Bandra West, which supplies water to the Pali Reservoir.
The leak was detected around 2 am and the civic team has undertaken repair work on war footing to control the water loss. As a result of this leakage, the water supply in the H-West ward (some parts of Khar and Bandra West) has been affected. Water supply will be disrupted in some areas, but once the repair work is completed, normal water supply will be restored.
However, certain areas are receiving water at low pressure from the Verawali Reservoir and other remaining Pali inlets. During this period, the civic authorities have urged citizens to use water judiciously and conserve it as much as possible.
