Ganj Basoda (Madhya Pradesh): Hundreds of teachers have related their stories to legislator Hari Singh Raghuwanshi after the Geotag photo attendance was carried out in the district. They gathered under the Government Teachers’ Organisation.
They said they were facing a major problem even if they were late by five minutes. When they were relating their pathos, some women teachers cried before the legislator. After listening to their problems, Raghuwanshi directed the district project coordinator to roll back the system and take the attendance from 10:30 am to 4:30pm.
Raghuwanshi said that the government schools were efficiently functioning and that he would always stand by the teachers. Regional vice president of the organisation Prithvi Singh Chouhan said online tag photo attendance system caused trouble to thousands of teachers in the district.
To get their photographs clicked for the attendance, the teachers are fast driving their vehicles and many of them often fall from their two-wheelers and get injured, Chouhan said, adding that it is not practically possible to follow the system. The organisation then submitted a memorandum to the legislator, saying that all the teachers are reaching their school at 10:30am, but the DPC issued an order asking them to reach the school at 10:05.
