Sheopur, 09 December (Hindustan Reporter). Sheopur’s para athlete Kanak Bhadauria, who won gold medal in 100 and 200 meter race in the World Ability Sports Youth Games held in Thailand, was given a grand welcome in the city on Monday. When Kanak Bhadauria and her coach Mujeeb Khan, who brought Sheopur’s prestige to the international level, reached Sheopur from Sawai Madhopur, the players and representatives of sports organizations welcomed them with drums and flower garlands.

During this, a grand welcome procession was also taken out from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department office to Kharanja Road till Kanak’s residence at 8 am. During this, players and coaches from the Sports Department, Kho-Kho Association and other sports organizations loaded Kanak with flower garlands. After this, Kanak reached Vimleshwar Mahadev Temple located on Kharanja Road and after visiting here, she reached her residence, where family members and people of the locality burst fireworks and distributed sweets. During this, the family members welcomed Kanak along with Koj Mujeeb Khan, Pankaj Sharma, Delon Tumrachi and other trainers by applying tilak. While Kanak reached Sheopur on Monday morning, she got a grand welcome, while there was a steady stream of people congratulating her at her residence throughout the day. During this, public representatives, leaders etc. were also present.
