Jabalpur, 9 December (HS). A pickup vehicle filled with laborers suddenly overturned in Amarpur village near Patan on Monday morning. In which about 20 laborers were injured. Due to the critical condition of 8 of the injured, they have been referred to the medical college for treatment.
Regarding the incident, it is being told that some laborers living in Chhedi Baroda village were going to Mahua Kheda village in the back seat of a pickup vehicle to pluck peas. As soon as the speeding pickup vehicle reached Amarpur, it went out of control and overturned. Local villagers reached the spot and pulled out the workers trapped in the vehicle and informed 108 including Patan police station. As soon as information about the incident was received, Patan police station along with 108 police reached the spot and all the injured were brought to Patan Health Centre. 8 laborers were sent to Jabalpur after giving first aid, while the rest are undergoing treatment. Women and children are also included among the injured. After recording the statements of the injured, the police registered a case against the driver and started searching for him. According to Patan police station in-charge, there were 30 to 35 people in the pickup vehicle, more than 20 people are injured, including women and children. 8 laborers have been referred to Jabalpur Medical College due to serious injuries.
