Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Government Holkar Science College has signed an important agreement (MoU) on ‘Climate Action’ with Energy Swaraj Foundation on Saturday.
Under this agreement, Holkar College will now launch several initiatives for environmental awareness and energy conservation, which will be effectively implemented not only in the college campus but also in its surrounding areas.
Under the MoU, the college will cooperate in achieving the goals of Swaraj Foundation, which mainly include providing energy literacy to the people. For this, various awareness programmes will be organised throughout the week in the college campus, in which students and teachers will be given information about energy-saving measures.
Under the programme, door-to-door publicity will be done in the areas around the college, so that people can understand the importance of reducing unnecessary use of electricity. On this occasion, Dr Chetan Singh Solanki, founder of Energy Swaraj Foundation, expressed concern over the global environmental crisis and called upon everyone to contribute to protecting the environment.
He emphasised the need for limited use of natural resources and avoiding maximum resource expenditure. At the same time, the principal of the college, Dr Anamika Jain assured that the faculties and students of the college will actively participate in this initiative and take steps for environmental protection.
