Bihar Holidays List 2025: The holiday calendar for 2025 has arrived for the schools of Bihar. This calendar will be applicable in entire Bihar. This calendar is applicable to government, government aided, project and upgraded primary, secondary and higher secondary schools, issued by the Education Department. There are 72 holidays in the whole year.
Schools will remain closed during holidays in Bihar but functions will be organized in schools on national festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. Some holidays are uncertain at the moment, such as Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31, but this will depend on the sighting of the moon. The dates of Muslim festivals like Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha may change depending on the sighting of the moon. Durga Puja holidays are from 28th September to 2nd October. There are Diwali and Chhath Puja holidays from 20th October to 29th October. Along with holidays, studies are also important. During summer holidays, holidays from Diwali to Chhath Puja and winter holidays, teachers will give homework and projects to children in all subjects.
