Pushpa 2 is the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa The Rise. This film really made the audience crazy. In the film, Allu Arjun aka Pushpraj smuggles red sandalwood. In the film, Rashmika plays the role of Pushpa Raj’s wife Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil plays the role of a police officer.
According to a report by Sacknilk, Sukumar directed Pushpa 2 has collected a total of Rs 165.1 crore at the box office on its opening day. The film had collected Rs 10 crore before its release late on Wednesday night. With this the total collection of the film has become 175.1 crores. Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 67 crore in Hindi, Rs 95.1 crore in Telugu, Rs 7 crore in Tamil, Rs 1 crore in Kannada and Rs 5 crore in Malayalam. At the same time, Pushpa is expected to collect Rs 2,500 crore in the first weekend of its release.
Records of ‘Yes’ films broken
Pushpa 2 has also broken the collection record of Prabhas starrer Kalki. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ collected Rs 95.3 crore on the first day. Whereas KGF 2 had collected 116 crores and Shahrukh Khan’s film had collected 75 crores on the first day. Apart from this, Pathan earned Rs 57 crore and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal earned Rs 63.8 crore. Pushpa 2 has created a record by beating all these films by collecting Rs 175 crore on the first day.
