After postponing the launch of Proba-3 on December 4, ISRO has launched it again today i.e. on December 5, 2024 at 4:04 pm. Launched by PSLV-XL rocket from Launch Pad 1 of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. After just 26 minutes of flight, ISRO’s rocket will place the satellite in space.

What is the weight of the rocket?

ISRO is flying PSLV-C59 rocket in this mission. In this C59 is actually rocket code. This was the 61st flight of the PSLV and the 26th of the XL version. This rocket is 145.99 feet long. The launch weight of this four-stage rocket is 320 tonnes. The rocket will place the Proba-3 satellite into an elliptical orbit of 600 X 60,530 km.
